A Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP) is an experienced mental health clinician who works with people of all ages and their whānau. They are part of the general practice team and help people with any issues impacting on their health and wellbeing. Doctors or Nurses can do ‘warm handovers’ with the health improvement practitioner and patients are typically seen the same day.
